Affordable Cloud-based Disaster Recovery Available to NYC area Businesses

New Jersey IT consultant, eMazzanti Technologies featured in a new Microsoft case study showing how Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) cuts disaster recovery costs for local businesses

Hoboken, NJ (Vocus) August 7, 2015 – A Disaster Recovery as a Service (DRaaS) solution provided by Hoboken, NJ, IT managed services provider (MSP), eMazzanti Technologies, is helping New York City area small and midsize businesses reduce the cost of expensive disaster recovery solutions that many have implemented in recent years to defend against weather extremes.

The service is based on Microsoft’s Azure Site Recovery (ASR), a cloud-based disaster recovery orchestration service that uses Microsoft data centers as the recovery location. Details of the DRaaS solution, a component of eMazzanti’s Business Continuity Suite, are published in a new Microsoft Case study featuring eMazzanti Technologies which can be accessed here.

The demand for disaster recovery (DR) solutions has surged for eMazzanti in recent years due to Hurricane Sandy in 2012 and the winters of 2014 and 2015, the study explains. After seeing numerous businesses permanently shuttered, many companies realized that “they could be one storm away from closing their doors forever.”

“Many small businesses didn’t recover from Hurricane Sandy,” says Carl Mazzanti, CEO of eMazzanti Technologies. “In today’s hypercompetitive business environment where customers expect instant response, if your company is disabled for a week or longer, your customers will go elsewhere.”

Small businesses who invested in expensive DR solutions following major weather events are now looking to cut costs. eMazzanti, a long-time member of the Microsoft Partner Network, worked with Microsoft to develop the DRaaS solution to combat the high cost of disaster recovery solutions for small businesses.

The study explains how eMazzanti’s disaster recovery service replicates customer data and applications from customers’ primary locations to the Microsoft Azure location as often as every 30 seconds, and to monitor customer workloads from a central management console.

If the customer’s primary location suffers an outage, the service orchestrates an orderly recovery of services at the Azure site. “Customers can run their applications from the secondary site for as long as necessary, then return applications to their primary site when it is operational,” the study claims.

The disaster recovery solution based on ASR is cost effective for businesses because they don’t pay for expensive compute cycles until they need them, when an outage occurs and the ASR site kicks in. The solution provides an affordable disaster recovery option for any business with Microsoft licensing and the ability to use Hyper-V Replica, System Center, or SQL Server AlwaysOn.

“No one wants to pay for a disaster recovery scenario until a disaster takes place,” stated Carl Mazzanti, CEO, eMazzanti Technologies. “eMazzanti’s Business Continuity Suite with Azure Site Recovery allows us to effectively offer a service to customers where for a small investment, when they really need the computing power the infrastructure is ready.”[/vc_column_text][ult_dualbutton btn_hover_style=”Style 2″ button1_text=”Read More” icon_link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Femazzanti.net%2Fsuccess-stories%2Fit-consultancy-provides-affordable-cloud-based-disaster-protection-to-smb-customers%2F||target:%20_blank” btn1_background_color=”#2e2f2d” btn1_bghovercolor=”#ffffff” icon=”Defaults-bookmark” icon_size=”12″ icon_color=”#ffffff” icon_hover_color=”#000000″ button2_text=”Download PDF” btn_icon_link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Femazzanti.net%2Fwp-content%2Fuploads%2F2015%2F08%2FMicrosoft-ASR-Case-Study-PDF.pdf||target:%20_blank” btn2_background_color=”#639bb1″ btn2_bghovercolor=”#ffffff” btn_icon=”Defaults-floppy-o save” btn_icon_color=”#ffffff” btn_iconhover_color=”#639bb1″ btn2_icon_align=”left” divider_style=”image” divider_icon_img=”15762|https://www.emazzanti.net/new/wp-content/uploads/2015/08/carrers-ninja.png” btn1_text_color=”#ffffff” btn1_text_hovercolor=”#000000″ btn2_text_color=”#ffffff” btn2_text_hovercolor=”#639bb1″][us_separator type=”invisible”][vc_row_inner][vc_column_inner][vc_video link=”http://youtu.be/GftxZzFyLwM” ratio=”3×2″ max_width=”450″ align=”center”][/vc_column_inner][/vc_row_inner][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column][/vc_column][/vc_row]
