EMAZZANTI TECHNOLOGIES PUMPS UP PRODUCTIVITY FOR SPORTS FIRM USING WINDOWS 7

Hoboken, New Jersey – 10-06-2009 – After experiencing triple-digit growth, GameWear owner of wearthegame.com, began to look for ways to increase productivity, increase customer service and lower operating costs. GameWear is a company that constantly hunts for new technology that can help the retailer do more with less. Tapping the IT expertise of eMazzanti Technologies, the sports firm is finding new, winning features in the Windows 7 operating system.

Under the guidance of eMazzanti Technologies, the features found in Windows 7 may warrant MVP status from GameWear. Aero Interface and Taskbar features speed up navigation, while Federated Search can sift through thousands of files faster for improved customer service. ReadyBoost extends the life of old computers, and Problem Step Recorder lowers IT costs through faster fixes.

Federated Search is a great example of the enhanced search capabilities GameWear needed for the more than 50,000 file assets that it must organize, track and retrieve. Windows 7 implements many improvements to the traditional search feature. “It’s easy to misplace a PDF, document or email. With the new search feature it doesn’t matter where the information asset is, we can find it,” said Frank Cerullo, CEO of GameWear. “Quickly finding documents literally translates into better service. Federated Search is like having a virtual customer service rep dedicated to each client,” says Frank. “The old way of searching emails cost us four hours of time. For example, there was a situation where, after a lengthy search, we found a three-year-old accounts receivable email that proved a returning client still owed money. We could have cut that search to minutes with Federated Search.”

But for Frank, the biggest improvement he experienced in using the eMazzanti solution was the boost in performance when given to his computers. “The number one biggest attribute of Windows 7 is increased speed; I’d estimate it is up to 30 percent faster. We upgraded to 64-bit to take advantage of the additional power,” said Frank. “We have a mix of older and newer machines running Windows XP and Windows Vista. Because Windows 7 is so lean and has features like ReadyBoost, we can instantly add a cheap alternative to RAM by using USB thumb drives. Based on this, we’ll be able to extend the life of some of the computers. That alone saves several thousands of dollars.”

Frank continues, “The Battery Power Management feature in Windows 7 extends laptop productivity by as much as 30 percent for us. For our sales people who are on the road sixty percent of the time, it translates into more sales time and more revenue.”

eMazzanti Technologies understands its clients’ needs so it can showcase advantageous features. With Windows 7, the feature list is applicable to everyone. eMazzanti Technologies is thrilled with the outcome thus far from being an early adopter of Windows 7 , and customer satisfaction with the new product under eMazzanti’s services has been extremely positive. Customers experiences, such as GameWear, are telling to what the general consensus will be for the client base under eMazzanti’s management services.
