MLS Experience
2007: Started 26 games on the backline for the Red Bulls. Added an assist on June 10 when the Red Bulls visited D.C. United. Won the Red Bulls Defender of the Year Award.
2006: Quickly became one of the team’s stalwarts on the back line, starting a career-high 31 games. Was named Red Bulls Ironman of the Year for logging in a team-high 2,771 minutes and was Co-Unsung Player of the Year, sharing that honor with Seth Stammler.
2005: Started 19 games on the season and recorded his first career assist. Had played the full 90 minutes in both of the club’s first two games of 2005, and was subbed out of the third game at the half after suffering a concussion.
2004: Had a very impressive rookie campaign, seeing action in 27 games, starting 28 of them. The last pick of the 2004 MLS SuperDraft scored his only MLS goal on June 12 against San Jose.
College
Started 16 games for Drexel in his senior year in 2003. Scored goal in season-ending win over Hofstra. Was previously a Soccer Seven All-Star and a Second Team All-Region selection and was on the America East All-Conference First Team and All-Rookie team in 2000.
Personal
Son of Jeff and Carol Parke. Is an avid golfer and would like to be on the PGA Tour if not for soccer. Ideal golf foursome would include Tiger Woods, Muhammad Ali and Jesus Christ. Appeared in a Sept. 2006 photo spread in Vanity Fair magazine with four of his teammates, modeling fashion inspired by the movie “Taxi Driver.” Favorite musical artists include Pearl Jam and Dave Matthews Band. Favorite MLS city is Philadelphia.
