WatchGuard Data Loss Prevention (DLP) Solution Simplifies Compliance and Reduces Risk of Sensitive Data Loss

eMazzanti partners with network security provider, WatchGuard Technologies to enhance data protection and reduce the costs of regulatory compliance with data loss prevention (DLP) Solution of WatchGuard.

Hoboken, New Jersey - (Vocus) July 15, 2014 – eMazzanti Technologies, a Hoboken, New Jersey and New York City area IT security expert, computer consultant, and 5 X WatchGuard Partner of the Year, recently announced support for WatchGuard’s new Data Loss Prevention (DLP) solution. The DLP subscription service helps organizations comply with regulatory standards in major international markets.

The DLP solution enables instant data protection to prevent costly regulatory violations. A pre-configured library of rules helps users monitor standards that vary by jurisdiction, multiple file types, and sensitive financial and personal data with a single click. The DLP solution is available now to eMazzanti’s customer base in connection with WatchGuard’s Unified Threat Management (UTM) platform.

“Network professionals know that they need a DLP solution but until now have balked at the cost,” stated Carl Mazzanti, CEO, eMazzanti Technologies. “Since DLP is integrated with WatchGuard’s UTM platform, companies can reduce their total cost of ownership for network security while simplifying data protection, and without impacting network performance.”

WatchGuard reports that in a recent survey, 65 percent of companies said they had not implemented a Data Loss Prevention solution even though the penalties for losing sensitive data could reach seven figures or more.

“The stakes continue to rise as companies struggle to protect data in the face of increasingly complicated regulatory requirements and numerous file types,” said Roger Klorese, director of product management at WatchGuard. “With DLP’s broad range of pre-configured rule sets, we instantly take the risk of misconfiguration out of the equation for our customers.”

Information provided by WatchGuard explains the DLP service and how it helps organizations keep private data private.

Compliance made easy – Built-in sensors are included for PCI DSS and HIPAA compliance mandates.

Continually updated – Rule sets are updated monthly to stay current with data definitions and compliance mandates around the world.

“Accidental loss of sensitive data can be a compliance nightmare,” stated Jennifer Mazzanti, president, eMazzanti Technologies. “The new WatchGuard DLP solution is a powerful tool to help organizations comply with complex regulations and keep sensitive data secure across multiple jurisdictions.”
